New Temporary Exhibit: Lewis & Clark:
• The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum announces the opening of its latest temporary exhibit, Lewis & Clark. This is the first in a two-part Lewis & Clark exhibition to celebrate the expedition's bi-centennial anniversary on May 14, 2004. The first part of the exhibit, opening on January 22, 2004, showcases oil paintings by Robert Rickards depicting the entire Lewis & Clark experience, from the hardships they suffered, to the Indians they encountered, to the magnificent scenery they passed through.
The second part of the exhibit, opening in March 2004 will allow visitors to follow the footsteps of Lewis and Clark to the Pacific Coast. Tour through a three-dimensional set including a build-out of their keelboat, Fort Mandan (where they passed the winter of 1804 waiting for the Missouri to thaw) and Fort Clatsop (where they passed the winter of 1805). This educational exhibit is wonderful for adults and children of all ages. For more information, call 800-410-8354.
